As a 10 year old boy from Dallas, Texas, Dalton Sherman was asked to address a crowd of teachers before the beginning of the school year. In his speech, he asks teachers to believe in their students. Watch the video below a post your responses in the Comments. Comments are due by Friday, April 8.
Next week, you will be facing the MAP test. As you go into it, be ready for some tough stuff. But, know this: you are ready for it. You have practiced. You have grown. You are capable. And, I believe in you.

thanks Mrs. Talburt, i really appreseate that reaspons because i do beleave in my self to get proficent or above in the map testing. also people need to beleave in me too like other teachers. So i love that video as well he standed up to 20,000 people and exspesed his feelings in his school.150,050 students going to every school and probly ours too. so thanks.

i know because i bbelieve in my self it matters because i believe in myself more you can do better on the map next week.

i think he beleves in himself thats why he went up there in front of all those people and he knows he can do it but they only way people live in life is when people beleve in them and know that they can do it and they can become something and make people proud of him and thats just what he did
wow okay then that i was not expecting that.....well ummm yeah....i think its cool that people believe in their selfs but i feel that just because you watch a little video that you "believe in youself" so i think its not right for title reading kids should believe in their self just cause they watch a video that a kid believed in him self but i guess if they "believe in their selfs" that they should.....i just dont thiks its right....You know how there are sayings like "If you believe in yourself then you can do anything that you put your mind to..." well thats that is all a bunch of lies...like you cant do anything....i guess what i am trying to say is that you believe what you want but i dont believe i hope and when i hope it usually doesnt come true so yeah i just live for the future and not the passed if i did bad on a text and got a low score then i guess i didnt "believe" in myself as much as i was suppose to. but i can always hope i do better next time so yeah.....okay thats all for today.....
